The fact that you do not need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico as a US citizen makes Puerto Rico an ideal destination to visit for people looking for places to visit with less of a hassle. It is also a great location for anyone looking for the island vibe without having to deal with converting currencies.

Pro tip: There is Uber in Puerto Rico. However, if you are planning to visit parts of the island outside of where you are staying such as the rainforest or the bioluminescent bay, it is best to rent a car. Learn more about this here.
